Installation and maintenance Technician

The Role: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Installation & Maintenance  Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the 
installation, servicing, and maintenance of GRUs, dosing systems, and cleaning equipment across multiple sites.  This role involves both independent lone working and working collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and maintenance of GRUs and dosing systems

• Installation and servicing of cleaning equipment (e.g., wall-mounted pumps, hand soap dispensers)

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently

• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations

• Managing workload across Birmingham, Milton Keynes, and London

• Completing job reports and updates via portals/apps

• Using Microsoft Teams and other basic digital platforms for communication and reporting

• Maintaining company tools and vehicle in good condition

• Other reasonable activities

Location: Birmingham, Milton Keynes & London (with occasional travel and overnight stays outside of these areas)

Hours: Monday – Friday (Occasional weekend working maybe required) Start and finish times will vary depending on the needs of the business. Working days can be between 9 and 12 hours.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Educated to GCSE level

• Plumbing knowledge/experience, including understanding of parts and fittings

• Basic health & safety training

• Ability to work independently (lone working) and as part of a team

• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required

• Basic IT literacy and confidence using apps, portals, and Microsoft Teams

• Full UK driving licence

• CSCS card (Desirable)

Customer Excellence Manager

Reports To: Operations and Service Support Manager

Biological Preparations are UK leaders in biotechnology. Our aim is to replace harmful, nonrenewable chemical technologies with environmental and socially beneficial solutions. We’re looking for a field-based Customer Excellence Manager to join our growing team on a fulltime, permanent basis with a salary range of between £35,000-£38,000 depending on experience. Reporting directly to the operations and Service Support Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring 
our customers achieve maximum value from our products and proposition. As a CEM, you will play a pivotal role in building strong relationships at a site-level, guiding operatives through the production adoption process and helping them achieve their desired outcomes. Your 
primary focus will be driving customer satisfaction, retention, and growth by delivering exceptional service and support. You must be highly proactive with a proven track record in delivering excellent customer service. You will be able to call on your problem-solving skills to drive improvements and have the proactive 
nature to want to continually suggest new ideas that benefit our customers.  Hitting the ground running is a must. The Customer Excellence role is a broad and busy role and you’ll be eager to join your colleagues on a mission to make the world more sustainable.


Responsibilities
• Customer Onboarding: Support new customers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and successful implementation of our products and proposition on-site. 
• Trials: Support the opportunities through the trial process, ensuring the successful use of our products and proposition on-site. Provide training and resources to help trialling users get the most out of our products. 
• Training and support: Support new and existing customers with product adoption through training and education, both digitally and in-person. 
• Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with end-users across your customer portfolio. Act as the main point of contact for problems and proactively address their needs and concerns.
• Customer Engagement & Retention: Drive product adoption and usage by regularly engaging with customers, providing insights and recommending features/alternative  products that align with their goals. Monitor customer health status and scores to
proactively identify risks to ensure retention and satisfaction.
• Customer Advocacy & Feedback: Serve as a customer advocate, gathering feedback on product performance and user experience, and relaying it to internal teams (Key Account Managers, Sales Managers, Technical, Customer Excellence and Marketing, service manager). 
• Issue Resolution & Escalation: Quickly and efficiently resolve customer issues, working cross-functionally with support and technical teams and Service Manager as needed.
• Data Management: Ensure company records are maintained with up-to-date activity and contact records.


Skills and qualifications
• 2 years of outside sales experience
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Previous business to business commercial sales experience
• Excellent organisation skills
• Strong communication skills
• Previous use of Hubspot would be advantageous
